Grampian Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to join our talented, dedicated and friendly staff. This position is ideal for someone with significant expertise, experience and passion for the creative subjects.

 

The Governors and Headteacher of Grampian Primary Academy are looking to appoint a teacher to join our Key Stage 2 Team.

 

This is a permanent part-time (0.6fte) role. This role also carries a 1 year TLR 3 for the 'strategic development of the creative subjects within the school’s curriculum design’.

 

We are looking for a creative teacher with knowledge and experience of teaching either Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3, with a proven track record of effective classroom practice and exemplary behaviour management. Experience of subject leadership across whole school and providing training/CPD to colleagues would also be advantageous.

 

Grampian Primary Academy is an academy who have developed a bespoke curriculum which ensures a broad and engaging curriculum is provided for all, unlocking the potential within every child.

 

Successful candidates will:

•      Be enthusiastic and relish the opportunity of working in a creative environment.

•      Have expertise, including qualification to A-Level or Degree equivalence, and experience of teaching the creative subjects to pupils in the primary or KS3 phase.

•      Have high expectations of themselves, within their work and conduct, at all times.

•      Have a positive, flexible and forward thinking attitude towards the curriculum.

•      Support and encourage all pupils to have high expectations of themselves, and work hard to enable each child to achieve their best!

•      Have experience of teaching in Key Stage 2 or Key Stage 3 and be knowledgeable about the curriculum pupils follow in the KS2 phase.

Working Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (although this can be negotiated at interview). Some flexibility to work additional hours to deliver whole school CPD and to support whole school events, theme weeks and productions is required.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to deliver inspiring lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum requirements to KS1 and KS2 children. The successful candidate must be able to provide extra curriculum opportunity within the creative subjects.

 

The successful candidate needs to be confident in their ability to teach outstanding lessons, demonstrating enthusiasm and passion at all times. The must be able to have excellent behaviour and classroom management and be able to motivate and inspire children to exceed.

 

We work collaboratively with other schools in different ways and are constantly on the look-out for opportunities to enhance our provision.  We are keen to know what new teachers could bring to support us with this!

We are looking to appoint a music teacher to deliver the music curriculum throughout KS2 and KS1. Your time would be spent delivering the music curriculum with responsibility for the end of term concerts, musical productions, leading the choir and music ensembles.

 

Working Hours: Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Some flexibility to work additional hours to support end of term concerts and productions is required.

The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint an experienced and passionate Safeguarding Officer to join our school to manage and co-ordinate all aspects of safeguarding and child protection.

 

The Safeguarding Officer will work closely with the schools designated safeguarding leads and safeguarding team, as well as all Grampian Primary Academy staff, to ensure the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures across the academy. 

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant and recent experience in a safeguarding related role, including in dealing with Child Protection concerns and the safeguarding of vulnerable children. They will have a good working knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, including the Prevent Duty.  The role will be diverse so you will need to be able to “juggle” multiple priorities.

 

You will provide advice, guidance and support for pupils and staff to plan and implement interventions and support where appropriate.  You will also need to keep up to date with your own personal development with the safeguarding sphere so that you are confident and able to deliver safeguarding training to academy staff.

 

To be successful for this role you will need to have significant experience and training in managing safeguarding ideally with some educational experience.  Safeguarding training and experience within social care, and wider inclusion would also be desirable.

 

You will need to be adaptable, hardworking and committed to safeguarding children.  You will be a good communicator and able to build and sustain appropriate relationships and manage personal and professional boundaries with children and families.
